Workhorse Recalls

61101-C
Replacement of Fuel Tank Fill Cap, Unused Fill Inlet on 75- and 100-Gallon Gasoline Fuel Tanks
Models: 2007-2011 W16/18, W20/22, W24 and R26 UFO Motor Home Chassis Equipped with 75- and 100-Gallon Dual Fill Tanks
October 20, 2010

Workhorse Custom Chassis has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain W-series and R-series motorhome chassis built from February 5, 2007 through May 24, 2010, and equipped with either the 75-gallon or 100-gallon gasoline dual fill tanks.

The fuel-fill cap assemblies used to seal the unused fuel tank inlet was produced with a hose material that did not meet design specification. During normal usage the hose material may deteriorate which can result in a fuel leak. A fuel leak increases the risk of a fire which may result in property damage, personal injury, or death.

50901-C
Interim Bosch Brake Campaign
July 10, 2009

*This repair will be handled like a normal warranty repair as if warranty were extended to date of recall remedy.
*The repair will be made with current design parts.
*This repair will include installing caliper and parts damaged by the caliper, ONLY on the wheel end involved. Maintenance to undamaged wheel ends will not be covered.
*Rotors will be replaced only if overheated and cracked all the way through. Hairline cracks on rotor surface are normal and will not be covered.
*Non repair items will not be covered.
*Damage from operating conditions such as riding the brakes or over use of brakes in mountain areas is not covered. This is often the case when all four wheel ends have damage. The typical Bosch type failure involves only one wheel end, although sometimes it can be on more than one wheel end.

NOTE: Each customer is still responsible for yearly brake inspections and brake system maintenance (making sure caliper pins and slides are clean and lubricated and brake fluid is to be changed every 2 yrs/24,000 miles whichever occurs first). Please see the owner’s manual maintenance section for further detailed coverage of this information.

8.1L Engine Fuel Damper Retainer Clip
In Effect: October 19, 2006
The defect involves an improperly heat treated fuel rail damper retainer clip that may have been installed on the subject engines. An improperly heat treated clip may break, possibly resulting in a gasoline leak at the fuel rail damper. A vehicle fire can result if the leaking fuel is ignited by a spark or flame. A defective clip can not be confirmed by a visual inspection. Therefore, Workhorse Custom Chassis is conducting a safety recall campaign to replace the fuel rail damper retaining clip on all units involved. To find out if you coach is involved with this recall; you can sign up as a WCC member. Just click on the link on our Warranty page and it will take you to the registration page. You may have already received a letter from Workhorse stating that you have an open recall on your coach. If you do, there should have been a new clip enclosed in the envelope.
