| Interim Bosch Brake Campaign |
| July 10, 2009 |
|
*This repair will be handled like a normal warranty repair
as if warranty were extended to date of recall remedy.
*The repair will be made with current design parts.
*This repair will include installing caliper and parts damaged
by the caliper, ONLY on the wheel end involved. Maintenance
to undamaged wheel ends will not be covered.
*Rotors will be replaced only if overheated and cracked
all the way through. Hairline cracks on rotor surface are
normal and will not be covered.
*Non repair items will not be covered.
*Damage from operating conditions such as riding the brakes
or over use of brakes in mountain areas is not covered.
This is often the case when all four wheel ends have damage.
The typical Bosch type failure involves only one wheel end,
although sometimes it can be on more than one wheel end.
NOTE: Each customer is still responsible for yearly brake
inspections and brake system maintenance (making sure caliper
pins and slides are clean and lubricated and brake fluid
is to be changed every 2 yrs/24,000 miles whichever occurs
first). Please see the owners manual maintenance section
for further detailed coverage of this information.
