This is a new product that we offer as an alternative to the factory new replacement. This is the cylinder on the actuator used from 1995-2004 on the Chevrolet and Workhorse P32 Chassis for the automatic parking brake system. This is an upgraded cylinder, that is cost effective to replace the pricey factory replacement option. This design is using a stainless steel end cap, and one peice stainless steel piston, compared to the two piece brass and mild steel one from the factory. This cylinder is easy to change and offers a 5 year warranty. As always we are available for questions and for help in diagnosing issues with your automaticlly applying park brake.

To install this seal kit, it does not require working on the spring canister. The actuator cylinder is attached to the rear of the spring assembly by four nuts, and comes off safely to install the new seals.

Tom, Thank you for asking, however, we do not sell that seal kit any longer. This is due to a large number of them that were rebuilt failed shortly after. We only sell the new option part# W8000504N so they will not leak.

My autopark cylinder recently failed. My mechanic is going to remove it, I am considering having it rebuilt by a competent local hydraulic cylinder repair shop. What is the probability it will last very long versus just failing again? Approximately what percentage of the ones you rebuilt failed?
